TICE.PT participated in the high-level economic meeting, Portugal-Mauritius, which took place at AICEP's premises in Lisbon
Invited by AICEP, TICE.PT, in the person of Vasco Lagarto, Operational Director of the cluster, made a presentation on the cluster and the ICT (information, communication and electronic technologies) sector to a high-level delegation from the Republic of Mauritius (chaired by the president himself, Prithvirajsing Roopun).
On July 17th, the President of AICEP, Ricardo Arroja, received the President of the Republic of Mauritius, as part of a state visit to Portugal. This high-level economic meeting, Portugal-Mauritius, took place at AICEP's premises in Lisbon.
The event was also attended by the Secretary of State for the Economy of Portugal, João Rui Ferreira, the Ambassador of Portugal in Maputo, António Costa Moura, and the member of the Executive Board of AICEP, Joana Gaspar.
This event, co-organized with the Mauritius Economic Development Board, aimed to present the reality of the Portuguese sector in some areas, namely Agroindustry, Information and Communication Technologies, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Tourism and Blue Economy, exploring new opportunities for economic cooperation and partnership between the two countries, as well as promoting the sharing of information on business and investment opportunities in Mauritius.
Representatives of the Portuguese Business Associations presented a national economic overview of their sectors. Were present: Manuel Casquiço (ADENE - Energy Agency), Firmino Cordeiro (AJAP Group), Francisco Calheiros (Confederation of Tourism of Portugal), António Dias Martins (Startup Portugal), Gonçalo Santos (Fórum Oceano) and Vasco Lagarto (TICE.PT).
