UA hosted the session that marked the official start of the Cybersecurity Competence Center - Central Region (CCC-Centro)
On July 19th, at 2:30 pm, the official start of the Cybersecurity Competence Center - Central Region (CCC-Centro) took place at the University of Aveiro.
The CCC-Centre is one of the seven Competence Centres of the C-Network, a large-scale project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan - PRR (Recuperar Portugal) and promoted by the Portuguese National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS).
The session began with a welcome by the Pro-Rector of the University of Aveiro, José Manuel Vieira, the session continued with the participation of Miguel Alves (CNCS), who presented the C-Network, followed by the presentation of the CCC-Centro, by the project leader, João Paulo Barraca (UA). The presentation of the consortium was made by each member of the consortium: University of Aveiro, University of Beira Interior, TICE.PT, Institute of Telecommunications, Polytechnic of Castelo Branco, Polytechnic of Leiria and Polytechnic of Tomar.
The session closed with a panel discussion with the theme "Cybersecurity in the central zone", with the participation of Miguel Alves (CNCS), João Paulo Barraca (UA) and Carlos Lopes (PRIO), moderated by Vasco Lagarto (TICE.PT).
After the session there was a moment of networking among all participants.
